Essex stretches from the edge of London to the North Sea, and its roads explain how it is covered. The A13 and A127 carry traffic east through Thurrock and Basildon to Southend; the A12 runs north-east through Chelmsford to Colchester; the A120 crosses the north of the county from Stansted to Harwich.
Most homes in Essex towns have some off-street parking, which makes collection simple. Coastal areas and the newer estates around Chelmsford and Basildon are just as straightforward, as long as the truck has room to pull in.
Thurrock is a unitary authority with its own council, and Grays, Tilbury and Chafford Hundred sit between the A13 and the M25. Basildon, Wickford and Southend follow along the A127. Requests from RM and SS postcodes go to buyers working this corridor.
Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham sit on the A12 and A120, and Colchester and the Tendring peninsula, including Clacton and Harwich, are CO postcodes. Rural villages in between, from the Dengie to the Stour valley, are collected from too.

And everywhere in between: the postcode is what counts.
Often, if the site management agrees. Ask them first and give the buyer the site's postcode and any gate times.
No. The postcode is what routes the request; council boundaries make no difference to the collection.
Two details, the reg and the postcode, put your car in front of the licensed buyer for your area. Their figure, your decision.
